White willow (Salix alba) – the active ingredients of the bark act like non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) known in pharmacology, with the difference that white willow bark does not cause side effects. The bark also contains vitamin C and bioflavonoids, which have capillary protective and antioxidant effects.
