Glucosamine
Under normal conditions, cartilage and connective tissue produce sufficient quantities of glycosaminoglycans, constantly replenishing losses due to natural wear and tear. In this case, the rate of cartilage wear is balanced by the rate of its regeneration. Due to various reasons: sports loads, work specifics, injuries, obesity, heredity, cartilage in one or several joints cannot produce a sufficient amount of glycoaminoglycans. This accelerates wear and tear of the joint and usually results in osteoarthritis. As this process progresses, joint mobility decreases and pain increases, as a result the joint cannot function normally and, at best, requires surgical replacement. The health of connective tissue is not only the health of joints, but also blood vessels, skin, and internal organs, the basis of which is also connective tissue.
It is possible to accelerate the regeneration and restoration of cartilage and other connective tissue components through the use of glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and other chondroprotectors. Glucosamine NSP contains glucosamine and uncaria. The combined action of glucosamine and uncaria helps reduce inflammation in the joints and stimulate regeneration processes, which contributes to the restoration of cartilage tissue.
Glucosamine is part of connective tissue: cartilage, ligaments, tendons, heart valves, joint fluid, including hair and nails. The beneficial effect of glucosamine on cartilage metabolism has been established. The introduction of glucosamine stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans and collagen, increasing the production of extracellular matrix components, promotes the fixation of sulfur in the process of chondroitinsulfuric acid synthesis, facilitates the normal deposition of Ca2+ in bone tissue, inhibits the development of degenerative processes in the joints, restores their function, reducing joint pain. With long-term use for osteoarthritis, glucosamine prevents the progression of arthrosis, reduces the severity of pain, and increases the mobility of the affected joint. The combined use of Glucosamine NSP with MSM and Chondroitin leads to a significant reduction in pain in arthrosis (treatment period 12 weeks) compared to the isolated use of glucosamine.
Uncaria hairy or cat’s claw (Uncaria tomentosa) – has a pronounced immunostimulating effect, activating macrophages and T-lymphocytes. The alkaloid inchophylline prevents platelet aggregation and blood clot formation, and rincophylline reduces blood pressure. Polyphenols, triterpenes and plant steroids are responsible for the antioxidant, antiviral, antitumor and anti-inflammatory properties of uncaria. Used for immunodeficiency and allergic conditions, inflammatory joint diseases, arthritis, rheumatism, lupus, acute and chronic viral, bacterial and fungal infections, herpes zoster, genital herpes. The extract obtained from uncaria has a cytostatic effect (suppresses cell division), which is why it is used to help patients with malignant tumors.
